Certain simple techniques to cope with our increasingly demanding work-styles.......

Suggestion:
Try not to use the intercom. Rather, walk to your colleagues and discussmatters.
Benefit:Stretches your back, and leg muscles. Helps build rapport withcolleagues. Relaxes your eyes and ears. Relaxes your neck.
Suggestion: Drink lots of water / liquids.
Benefit:Will require you to walk to the rest room regularly. Good stressbuster.
Suggestion:
Small meals at regular intervals.
Benefit:Keeps away acidity. Makes you walk to the cafeteria thus providingexercise.

Suggestion:Laughter is the best medicine.
Benefit:Hard works is good, but let us not lose our sense of humor. Learn tolaugh for everything. Stress buster, good for face muscles and eyes.Sharpens thinking capabilities. Mainly, laughter is contagious.

Suggestion:20, 20, 20, 20 rule.
Benefit:
Every 20 minutes, look at an object at least 20meters away for at least 20 seconds. After that blink your eyes 20 timesbefore you resume on the computer.Good for eyes, neck, back. You get to chose what object you want to look at!

Suggestion:Keep your feet firmly planted on the ground
Benefit:Good for back, neck and leg muscles. Keeps Ego in check!
Suggestion:Use an external mouse (Laptop users). Rest you elbow where ever possibleBenefit:Good for neck, back, arms, shoulders and wrist.

Suggestion:Ensure that you chair is adjusted to optimum height and the back-rest isadjusted to normal (rather than recline)Benefit:
Good for back and neckUse speaker-phones for long calls (calls for more than 20 minutes)Less stressful and enables more movement of the body.

Suggestion:Get it off you.
Benefit:
Talk to someone about anything that bothers you.All of us have stress. It is how we manage it.

Suggestion:
Make friends in office to whom you can open your heart out.
Benefit:Honest discussions very often provide answers to difficult situations. All of us spend 10 hours in office and we need to learn to enjoy those 10 hours.
